The SELAM Hilfswerk in Äthiopien association is a non-profit organization that exclusively and irrevocably pursues charitable and non-profit purposes. The goal and purpose of the association is to provide assistance and education to people in need in Ethiopia, motivated by Christian values, particularly orphans, other children and young people, as well as adults. This is achieved through: a) financing and operating children's homes; b) financing and operating schools and vocational training centers; c) financing and operating social enterprises or income-generating businesses in the context of aid projects; d) financing and operating medical aid services; e) financing and operating social welfare projects; f) financing survival aid during famines and other disasters. Assistance is provided to all people regardless of their origin. The association is denominationally and politically neutral.
