The cooperative pursues the purpose of providing its members with housing at a fair price in accordance with the federal law promoting the construction of housing and access to property, as well as the relevant cantonal and communal provisions, and maintaining them in good condition through joint action and co-responsibility. It undertakes to offer spaces to all sections of the population, in particular to single people, families, people with special needs and elderly people. It promotes coexistence based on social responsibility and mutual solidarity and supports cooperative activities in its spaces. The cooperative society may acquire building land and real estate, establish superficies, as well as renovate, renew and transform existing buildings that fall within the purpose of the cooperative. The sale of land or the transfer of superficies is also permitted, provided that any speculative intention is excluded. The cooperative may assume the mandate for the design and direction of maintenance, renovation and construction work on buildings for the cooperative. The cooperative may also offer spaces for commercial activities and services in its buildings. Furthermore, the cooperative is responsible for the administration, management and rental of housing based on cost-based rent. A regulation will be issued which will detail the criteria for the allocation of apartments and the management of spaces, as well as the economic benefits that cooperative members who rent housing or commercial spaces may enjoy. The company may participate in all institutions, companies and other enterprises, insofar as this serves to achieve its purpose. The company may carry out any other activity directly or indirectly related to its purpose.
