The foundation aims, particularly in the canton of St. Gallen, to operate housing facilities and day structures for people with a mental impairment and to develop further suitable services; to provide financial and advisory support to people with a mental impairment and their network; to engage in prevention in the field of mental illnesses and to participate in the public discourse in order to promote social participation, inclusion, and autonomy for people with a mental impairment; to carry out specific projects that serve to represent the interests and/or a self-determined and participation-oriented design of life for people with a mental impairment. The foundation can, for the purpose of achieving its objectives, establish, take over, and operate facilities or dissolve facilities that are no longer needed to fulfill the foundation's purpose. It can establish and operate other legal entities or merge with other foundations if the purpose allows. It can acquire or dispose of real estate for the purpose of achieving its objectives. The foundation does not pursue any commercial or profit-oriented purpose. It is exclusively engaged in non-profit activities. The foundation is politically and denominationally independent.
