The foundation aims to support the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Department of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering (hereinafter referred to as BFH-AHB), in the following areas of education and training: the Wood department (Bachelor's and Master's studies) and the Continuing Education department, Wood section, as well as the affiliated Higher Vocational School (HF) Wood Biel. In addition to education and training, it promotes applied research for the wood industry. It can act as a link between wood industry companies and the institutions of the aforementioned educational establishments. It promotes the attractiveness of education and training in the wood industry through suitable measures. The foundation can, among other things, provide education and training grants, establish an information and advisory center, promote the provision of accommodation for students, provide contributions for the purchase of machines and equipment, and co-finance study events. The foundation operates within the canton of Bern, at the locations of the BFH-AHB, within the scope of its purpose. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose. Commercial purposes are excluded.
