Worship services

Worship services in the Peterskirche every Sunday morning according to the Reformed liturgy, morning worship services at Gemeindehaus Stephanus, family worship services and Taizé prayers in the Johanneskirche.

Room rental

Rental of the churches and rooms of the Peterskirche, the Gemeindehaus Stephanus and the Johannes Zentrum for celebrations, concerts and other events; inquiries for wedding ceremonies and funeral services are also welcome.

Baptism

Baptisms in the churches of the parish, usually during the parish worship service; planning discussion with a pastor, baptism of children and adults, reception into the church community.

Confirmation

Religious instruction as a path to confirmation with project evenings, a two-year confirmands’ course, a weekend and a camp week, as well as a formal confirmation during the worship service.

Wedding

Wedding ceremony in one of the churches with a wedding worship service, preparatory discussion with a pastor, reservation of the church and support provided by pastors, organists and sacristans.

Funeral service

Support during the farewell to a deceased person, shaping the funeral service together with a pastor, with musical accompaniment, songs and personal remembrance; service in church or at the cemetery.

Children's Church

Children's Church for children aged 4 to 10 at Gemeindehaus Stephanus, about once a month on Sundays at 10:00, with stories, singing, games and crafts during the worship service.

Youth club Pier12

Youth club for young people aged 13 and over at Gemeindehaus Stephanus, every 2nd and 4th Wednesday with games, community, snacking, music-making and themed evenings.

Social support

Free social counselling and support with personal, financial and administrative concerns, budget planning, contacts with authorities, grants, housing and places in assisted-living and care homes.

Kaffi.plus at Gemeindehaus Stephanus

Open meeting point at Gemeindehaus Stephanus with coffee, tea and pastries, opportunities to chat and occasional extras such as guests, short talks or storytelling sessions.

Taizé prayer

Monthly Taizé prayer on the third Sunday evening in the Peterskirche or during renovations in the Johannes Zentrum, as a calm ending and start to the week.

Adults 65+

Opportunities for meeting and exchange for the third and fourth stages of life: midday meal, Rummikub club, kaffi.plus, group for people who are grieving, sound meditation, outings, as well as a visiting service and counselling.
