The foundation is the owner of the artistic work of Mathias Balzer-Caspar. Its purpose is to make his work accessible to as many art lovers as possible through the organization of solo and group exhibitions, through loans to exhibitions, and also through the sale of paintings and prints that are not part of the core collection. It also repurchases 'stray' works and important pieces from the core collection. The foundation aims to process his work at a reasonable expense and make it known to a wider public through publications.
