The foundation aims to preserve the Hochparterre AG on a solid basis while maintaining its current purpose, and to secure the co-determination of the employees of Hochparterre AG, as well as the adherence to the principles set forth in the Contrat Social of Hochparterre AG. Furthermore, the foundation aims to use its returns for charitable purposes. The projects supported by the foundation shall be committed to the goals of social and ecological sustainability for the promotion of the common good. Within the framework of its charitable activities, the foundation aims to: initiate, promote and support projects throughout Switzerland that serve the journalistic and public discourse on architecture, landscape, building culture, design and planning. The foundation may award scholarships for corresponding training to individuals in need of financial support. The foundation promotes and supports projects abroad where free journalism is hindered or where there are insufficient resources for free journalism. To this end, it awards scholarships for corresponding training and provides funds for the financing of necessary infrastructure. The foundation promotes and supports scientific research projects in the areas of 'climate-friendly building' and 'socially innovative housing and living forms'. In cases of financial hardship of employees of Hochparterre AG, the foundation may grant loans or non-repayable subsidies.
