2.1 The foundation aims to establish and operate a hospice for seriously ill people in the final phase of their lives. The foundation or the hospice provides specialized palliative care, organizes medical, nursing, pastoral, and social care and support for people at the end of their lives, supports and accompanies relatives; accepts people of any social background and belief; promotes the training and further education of employees, as well as voluntary hospice helpers; supports affected people with a clear commitment to the principles of palliative care and tries to offer them the highest possible quality of life. The foundation can acquire and dispose of real estate, properties, and building rights of all kinds. It can found and operate companies, in particular subsidiary or operating companies for the operation of the hospice, or have the hospice operated by one or more third parties. The foundation operates within the canton of Zurich in accordance with its purpose. The foundation does not pursue commercial purposes and does not aim to make a profit. The capital of the foundation is exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purposes. Art. 3 Purpose Realization 3.1 The foundation can cooperate with and/or support other organizations. It can, in agreement with the supervisory authority, establish and operate other legal entities or merge with them, if the purpose allows. 3.2 The board of the foundation can issue one or more regulations on the foundation's organization and the implementation of the foundation's purpose. The regulations and their amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority for review. 3.3 As long as no regulation exists, the board of the foundation decides, in accordance with its duty of care, on the granting of foundation benefits within the framework of the foundation's purpose.
