The foundation aims to promote and integrate individuals with special support needs, with a particular focus on autism spectrum disorder and other behavioral issues. The foundation's area of activity is primarily centered at the Sonnhalde center in Gempen (SO). To achieve its purpose, the foundation operates various services such as school, training, work, housing, and leisure activities. These services can be provided centrally or decentrally. The development-promoting approaches in the areas of education, arts, social work, medicine, and nursing are mainly based on insights derived from the philosophical work of Rudolf Steiner (Anthroposophy). The goal of all efforts is to foster the independence of individuals with support needs and their integration into dignified living and working conditions. The foundation is non-profit and exclusively pursues humanitarian goals. It is politically and denominationally neutral. The foundation can acquire, encumber, and dispose of real estate and intellectual property rights both domestically and internationally, as well as establish subsidiary companies within or outside the country. The foundation can engage in any business activities that are suitable for promoting and facilitating the achievement of its purpose. It can found, acquire, finance, invest in, merge with, cooperate with, or support other organizations (especially foundations and associations).
