The foundation aims to engage, together with the start-up promotion of Switzerland Innovation Park Ost AG (CHE-149.476.479), St. Gallen (hereinafter referred to as "SIP OST"), for new companies and innovations in a joint offer as follows: The goal is to support good ideas with seed money (lending, participations, etc. by the foundation) in close cooperation with the start-up promotion of SIP OST, and to enable economic breakthrough with coaching by experts (by the start-up promotion of SIP OST). The intention of the founders is to promote innovative projects with economic potential that serve the founding or establishment of a start-up company in Eastern Switzerland. The foundation also intends to support projects that are realized in cooperation with research at research institutions in Eastern Switzerland, in particular the University of St. Gallen, the OST - Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, and the Empa. This is intended to quickly implement the latest research results into economic practice. To this end, the foundation takes and supports measures that serve this purpose with financial resources, in particular by granting loans to strengthen equity or equity contributions to such companies.
