Stiftung Velodrome Suisse

Construction, operation and maintenance of a velodrome with a multi-purpose sports hall for multifunctional use in Grenchen, which is to be built on a site provided by the municipality of the city of Grenchen and is primarily suitable for cycling, but also other sports and other (non-sporting) purposes. The foundation makes the velodrome available to the Swiss Cycling Federation, the top Swiss cycling association, for non-profit purposes, particularly as a training center for promoting young talent and training future top athletes in track and road cycling. To promote recreational cycling, the track can also be made available to local and national cycling clubs. The multi-purpose sports hall and other facilities are open to schools and local sports clubs and groups, provided that their sport is compatible with the building's properties and is within the legal framework of the foundation.
