The foundation aims to acquire the property at Helvetiaplatz 6 in Bern from the Christian Science Association of Bern (CWVB) as an independent and permanent building right, and subsequently to renovate, expand, and make it barrier-free. This will ensure that the property is preserved long-term as a concert, event, and course venue, and made accessible to the general public in the interest of a vibrant cultural life. The foundation thus aims to promote cultural and social life in the city and canton of Bern. It provides suitable infrastructure and ensures, in particular:
- The organization of concerts of all kinds, from chamber music to choir and orchestra concerts.
- The holding of conferences, courses, and lectures in the fields of art, culture, education, and society.
- The provision of rehearsal spaces for musical, theatrical, and other cultural activities.
- The support of ensemble, choir, and orchestra projects.
- The promotion of training, further education, and continuing education in the fields of art, music, and pedagogy.
- Collaboration with other cultural institutions, particularly with the museums in the Museum Quarter Bern (Helvetiaplatz area), to promote cultural exchange.
- Other possible activities in the fields of education and culture.
The foundation pursues exclusively charitable purposes and has no profit-making intentions.
