The Company's purpose is to trade in raw cotton and its derivatives, both in Switzerland and abroad, as well as all other raw or manufactured goods. The Company may directly or indirectly establish, acquire, hold, manage, exploit and sell Swiss and foreign participations, particularly in the field of raw cotton and its derivatives as well as all other raw or manufactured goods and related fields. The Company may engage in all activities that are conducive to its purpose or related thereto. The Company may directly or indirectly provide funds to its direct or indirect subsidiaries and to third parties, including its direct or indirect shareholders and their direct or indirect subsidiaries, provide any type of guarantee for its own obligations and the obligations of other companies (including the direct or indirect shareholders of the Company or companies in which these shareholders are direct or indirect shareholders), including pledges, fiduciary transfers or fiduciary assignments of the Company's assets, or provide guarantees or securities or otherwise guarantee the obligations of the Company or these other companies, for consideration or not. The company does not have as its object the direct or indirect acquisition of real estate in Switzerland or the management of real estate funds with Swiss real estate subject to authorization in accordance with the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners of December 16, 1983 (LFAIE). The Company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and participate in other companies in Switzerland and abroad. The Company may engage in all commercial, financial and other activities that are conducive to its purpose or related thereto.
