The purpose of the company is to participate in companies, in particular in the field of agriculture; under special circumstances, the company is authorized to conduct the corresponding business directly. The company is authorized to acquire, encumber, utilize and sell real estate and intellectual property rights in Switzerland and abroad. The company is part of the Syngenta Group and, as such, may promote the interests of any other company within the Syngenta Group. In particular, the company may grant loans and other forms of direct or indirect financing to its direct and indirect subsidiaries and third parties, including its direct and indirect shareholders and their direct and indirect subsidiaries, and provide security for the liabilities of such companies, including pledges or security assignments of the company's assets or guarantees of any kind, whether remunerated or not, as well as raise funds on the money and capital markets.
