The foundation's guiding principle is to promote individuals in the development of their talents by providing or creating suitable educational opportunities. The term 'talent' is to be understood broadly and can encompass all conceivable skills commonly associated with this term. Cultural projects in the fields of music, design, and visual arts are particularly worthy of support, but not exclusively. Educational projects in the fields of sports, technology, IT, personal development, languages, vocational preparation, or vocational further education are also worthy of support. The recipients of the foundation's funding can be organizations and private individuals in Eastern Switzerland who pursue non-profit projects that benefit the general public. Within the framework of the foundation's purpose, 'projects for talent promotion', it is also possible to provide direct, time-limited support to private individuals. Projects that provide or create educational opportunities that focus on promoting individual talents not or only partially covered by the traditional education system are preferably selected as worthy of support. Within the framework of the foundation's purpose, the foundation can also participate in non-profit companies under Swiss law (capital or personal companies) or act as the founder of further foundations.
