Promotion of endeavors that are in the public interest and primarily (but not exclusively) serve the canton of Appenzell A.Rh., individual regions or larger or smaller circles of its population. Scientific, intellectual, cultural, social and charitable concerns can be supported, as well as projects aimed at improving the national economic structure, nature, landscape and heritage conservation. Individuals who have fallen into distress through no fault of their own or require educational assistance may also be considered. This may also include employees of the founding company, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
