The purpose of the Association is of public utility. For The StoryBoard Collective, authentic and independent storytelling broadens horizons, strengthens solidarity, and engages the public in a meaningful way. The StoryBoard Collective envisions a more equitable, sustainable, and peaceful world, in which independent creators in the media landscape, particularly those from traditionally marginalized communities, are highly valued in culture and society. The StoryBoard Collective provides funding and capacity building for authentic and independent storytelling in media (documentary, TV series, film), through project support and partnerships with cultural organizations. The StoryBoard Collective supports storytelling in the service of social transformation. The StoryBoard Impact Fund supports documentary projects and cultural organizations with strong potential for impact. The StoryBoard Fiction initiatives support emerging and underrepresented voices in the rapidly growing global market for scripted series, including through writing programs and residencies. The StoryBoard House, in Geneva, Switzerland, offers a workspace and meeting place for innovative creators, primarily in the field of media. The Association is open to any extension and can affiliate with other organizations or individuals with similar objectives, provided that the initial spirit is preserved. The Association may also enter into any contracts directly or indirectly related to its purpose. The Association is not for profit.
