The purpose of the company is the purchase, sale, preparation and transformation of old iron, metals and paper, rags and other recyclable waste and derived products, the import and export of these materials as well as brokerage in these areas. Furthermore, the company may hold participations in companies of any kind in Switzerland and abroad, create such companies, acquire and merge with them. It may acquire, encumber and sell real estate or intellectual property rights in Switzerland and abroad, except for operations prohibited by the LFAIE, and may establish branches or agencies in Switzerland and abroad by decision of the board of directors. The company may grant loans or other financing to its direct or indirect parent company and to all other group companies and may provide guarantees of any kind for the obligations of these companies, including pledges, other fiduciary transfers of the company's assets and all types of guarantees.
