Pursues general charitable purposes in emergency situations, particularly in the areas of child and youth welfare. The foundation's main objectives are: to provide assistance to people in need or at risk to overcome their difficult situation; to offer a hopeful perspective for the future to people living in great poverty. Except in the case of disaster relief, the support provided should generally be in the form of self-help assistance. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial activities. In its global operations, the foundation specifically aims to: support projects that enable children from the poorest backgrounds, particularly in the Third World, to receive an education; support projects that provide accommodation and a future for orphaned children or those with severely disturbed family relationships. Disaster relief: Specifically, support for immediate measures in the event of natural disasters, but also assistance in the event of epidemics and rapidly spreading diseases.
