The company's main purpose is the production, processing, storage and trade of agricultural products from crop production (including wood) and animal husbandry, as well as the management of natural areas. The company can provide contract work, particularly in the agricultural and municipal sectors, produce renewable energy, and rent out machinery to third parties. To this end, it can acquire, encumber, manage and sell both non-agricultural and agricultural properties and businesses that fall within the scope of the Federal Act on Agricultural Land Rights. The agricultural business (real estate) is the company's main asset. Both a transfer of shares and a change to the articles of association require approval from the Department of Finance and Resources, Division of Agriculture. At least 90% of the shares must be owned by self-farmers. Furthermore, the company can conduct all business that is suitable to promote or facilitate the development of the entrepreneur and the achievement of the company's purpose, such as participating in companies of a similar nature in Switzerland and abroad, acquiring, holding, managing and selling intellectual property rights and related rights, acquiring licenses, and establishing branches in Switzerland and abroad.
