Verein Label STEP - fair trade Teppiche

The association promotes fair and environmentally friendly conditions in the production and trade of carpets with the STEP label, in order to improve the living and working conditions of people in the production processes in developing regions, namely: by setting economic, social and ecological minimum conditions (standards) for production and trade; by verifying these standards and implementing activities to implement them; as well as through corresponding information work. It aims to secure the future of the STEP label in the long term. It awards the label to trading partners whose product-specific overall range meets the conditions set by the association. It can also initiate and co-finance supporting measures in the production regions. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
