The association is a Christian community which is inseparably connected with the association of the Christian Community Brunstad BCC, authentically called Brunstad Christian Church (Org. No. 979 961 073). Brunstad Christian Church is the Christian community that was founded on May 17, 1898 by Johan O. Smith, Horten. In its work and teaching, the association acts in harmony with the doctrine, values, and Christian content for which Johan O. Smith stood, with the statutes of the Christian Community Brunstad (hereinafter BCC), and with the guidelines based thereon, which are issued by the leadership of the BCC. The association forms the legal framework within which the persons belonging to the local congregation Sonnmatt of the worldwide Christian Community Brunstad can actively participate on a voluntary membership basis. It provides services for the local congregation Sonnmatt and, with a view to this, in particular pursues the following purposes: dissemination and promotion of the Christian faith and life according to the provisions of the Bible at home and abroad; promotion and promotion of community life; support of organizations with the same or similar purposes; charitable work in the sense of the mission work for the benefit of needy persons at home and abroad.
