The association aims to support and promote the Jewish school and community life in Zurich. To this end, the association promotes and supports in particular the purchase, rental or construction of suitable buildings for schools, the renovation or conversion of houses with the aim of renting out classrooms at favorable conditions to Jewish schools and associations, creating family apartments and renting them to large, needy families, as well as all other activities that serve the common good of the Jewish population of the city of Zurich. The association can acquire, rent or participate in its own properties, as well as acquire participations and membership rights in housing cooperatives, etc. For this purpose, the association can also take out mortgages or other loans. The association pursues non-profit purposes; no financial profit is sought. The association is politically neutral.
