The foundation aims to provide occupational pension provision within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the employees of the following companies: Ausgleichskasse Swissmem, Swiss Export Risk Insurance (SERV) and Verband Schweiz. Maschinen-, Elektro- und Metallindustrie (Swissmem), all based in Zurich; Swiss Association for Standardization, based in Winterthur, and companies economically or financially closely related to them, as well as their dependents and survivors against the economic consequences of old age, death and disability. The affiliation of a related company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation can provide additional pension benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, whereby it must be the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
