The company's purpose is to supply shareholders and third parties with drinking, utility and firefighting water. To this end, it assumes the procurement, management, treatment, transportation, storage and delivery of water to shareholders. The supply of water to water consumers and fire hydrant protection are the responsibility of the shareholders in their respective supply areas. To fulfill this purpose, the company has the following tasks in particular: operation, maintenance and renewal of the existing water supply, treatment, transportation, storage, remote control and metering systems of the shareholders. The relevant systems are designated in an overview plan to be approved by the general meeting; takeover of such systems as property, which are contributed as a contribution in kind by the shareholders or transferred to the company; construction and operation of additional systems of the same type that serve more than one shareholder; cooperation with the water supplies of the shareholders as well as water supplies of third parties; creation and implementation of a water management concept; water supply to water suppliers who are not shareholders. The company may participate in other water supplies or merge with them, acquire and sell real estate, and enter into all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the company. The interests of public water supply take precedence over the pursuit of profit.
