The foundation aims to maintain the group of companies "Mr. F.L. Weidema Advocaten Praktijk B.V." and "Weidema van Tol Luxembourg S.à r.l." on a solid basis, while preserving their existing corporate purposes. The foundation's assets are to be managed and developed in an entrepreneurial manner, taking into account certain associated risks. Among other things, the foundation's tasks include the management, participation in, financing and refinancing of companies that provide legal services and related activities in Switzerland or the European Union, through lawyers registered in Switzerland or the European Union, in accordance with the Federal Act on the Freedom of Movement of Lawyers, as well as other qualified advisors in accordance with the applicable laws of the legal systems in which the foundation operates. The foundation's income, to the extent that it does not serve the foundation's continued existence, is to be used to support talented young people with a legal education. For this purpose, the foundation may establish additional companies in Switzerland or abroad or participate in other companies that pursue the same purpose.
