The association aims to support, in particular in countries of the Third World, but also in emerging countries and developed states, organizations, local groups and philanthropic institutions as well as individuals and professional associations that strive to uphold human rights. The association acts proactively and supports victims of state violence, innocent individuals in need and their families with financial and other material and immaterial means. The "West & East" Democracy, Development, Dialog Academy seeks coordinated cooperation with established human rights organizations and coordinates its own activities and initiatives with those of traditional charitable organizations. The association sees its task as being where a government, regardless of its political direction, flagrantly violates human dignity and human rights, as formulated in the UN Human Rights Convention, discriminates against minorities, and persecutes individual persons for any reason, denies them a hearing, imprisons them without trial, holds people in solitary confinement, knowingly or unknowingly exposes them to torture, subjects them to the arbitrariness of state agents, holds prisoners in inhumane conditions, denies them their rights, and generally violates internationally accepted norms that guarantee life in freedom. In particular, "West & East" Democracy, Development, Dialog Academy watches over the important freedom of free expression and supports media professionals in the exercise of their profession in freedom and independence. On the basis of the provisions of the UN Conventions, "West & East" Democracy, Development, Dialog Academy carries out analyses and synthesis of legal, political and socio-economic conditions in areas such as: dialogue between conflict partners to solve problems; in the field of ecology and environmental initiatives; gender; culture, tradition, religion and social minorities; counter-terrorism and security; against corruption, shadow economy, clans, mafia power; integration, cooperation and collaboration; military research and conversion; globalization; health, migration, social problems; conflict, radical and fundamental movement; others.
