The cooperative aims to provide its members with good and affordable living and working space on a permanent basis, through joint self-help and shared responsibility. It strives to offer housing for all sections of the population. It promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity, as well as the mixing of living and working spaces. It seeks to achieve this purpose by: acquiring building land and building rights; building and acquiring single-family and multi-family homes that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs; carefully maintaining and periodically renovating existing buildings; constructing replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; utilizing funding instruments under the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; managing and renting apartments and commercial spaces on a cost-rent basis; promoting cooperative activities in the settlements; providing ideological and material support for efforts aimed at affordable, healthy, and good housing.
