The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and co-responsibility. It seeks to achieve this purpose by: a) acquiring and developing land; b) building and acquiring multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs; c) managing and renting apartments on a cost-rent basis, as well as taking on management mandates from third parties to better utilize the cooperative's resources; d) carefully maintaining and periodically renovating existing buildings; e) renovating old buildings or constructing replacement new buildings; f) utilizing public-law funding instruments. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by profit. The cooperative strives for comprehensive self-sufficiency in terms of energy, heating, maintenance, and management for all properties or shares in its ownership or use. The cooperative may participate in companies with similar or identical goals and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives.
