The cooperative aims to provide its members with affordable housing through mutual self-help and to permanently remove it from speculation. The cooperative's activity is not profit-driven. The cooperative seeks to achieve its purpose: a) by renting apartments to its members at rents that are set on the basis of self-costs, taking into account the economic self-preservation of the cooperative; b) through sensible investments in its own cooperative facilities; c) through the construction or purchase of suitable properties; d) through sensible investment and borrowing of funds on the financial market. Members are required to occupy the rented apartments themselves and to have their civil law domicile there. In view of the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad, the apartments must serve as the main residence of members of foreign nationality at the location of their lawful and actual residence.
