The Foundation is established with the main purpose of supporting the development of aquatic sports, promoting their safe practice, and protecting aquatic environments through the support of projects recognized by the Founder and/or the implementation of such projects. To this end, the Foundation will support and/or implement projects with the following objectives:
**Development of Athletes:**
- Provide direct scholarships to male and female athletes from developing countries to train at AQUA's training centers.
- Offer world-class training opportunities to athletes from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to high-quality facilities and coaching as part of training programs initiated or recognized by AQUA.
- Foster international cooperation and exchange by supporting AQUA-recognized programs that bring together athletes from different countries to train together and learn from each other.
**Promotion of Aquatic Activity Safety and Drowning Reduction:**
- Implement and/or support programs initiated or recognized by AQUA to teach swimming with the primary goal of reducing drowning incidents (e.g., the Discover Water program developed by AQUA).
- As part of the implementation of the aforementioned programs, develop and/or support training and education programs for experts who can sustainably lead these programs.
**Support for Aquatic Environment Protection Projects:**
- Implement and/or support environmental projects in the water domain, initiated or recognized by AQUA, or any other similar program initiated or recognized by AQUA.
**Support for the Development of Aquatic Sports:**
- Implement or support other initiatives initiated or recognized by AQUA that promote the development and practice of aquatic sports at both the amateur and elite levels.
- Support innovation, research, and educational programs initiated or recognized by AQUA that improve the knowledge and skills of coaches, officials, and sports administrators.
The Foundation may propose programs and initiatives within the framework of the objectives to be supported and/or implemented (in accordance with Articles 4.1 and 4.2 of the statutes), provided that they are programs or initiatives initiated or recognized by AQUA.
To achieve its purpose and objectives, the Foundation is authorized to enter into any contract, acquire and transfer any movable and immovable property of any kind in any country.
