The purpose and objectives of World Boxing are to: i. Promote, develop and direct with integrity and transparency the sports of Olympic, adapted and electronic boxing at all levels, committing to the health, safety and fair play of boxers, while supervising, supporting and directing their activities; ii. Promote, obtain and maintain recognition by the IOC as the International Federation governing Olympic boxing in accordance with the ideals and principles of the Olympic movement, as well as ensuring the continued inclusion of Olympic boxing in the Olympic program; iii. Promote and develop adapted boxing, and ensure liaison with the International Paralympic Committee for its recognition; iv. Represent and work on behalf of national federations to promote and develop boxing; v. Promote and maintain the values of World Boxing, including fair play, transparency, inclusion, integrity, excellence and sustainability in all Federation activities; vi. Develop links with other sports federations and non-governmental organizations to promote the interests of the sport of boxing generally at the global level; vii. Administer and organize boxing at the Summer Olympic Games, Summer Paralympic Games, World and Continental Championships, and other competitions or events under the auspices of World Boxing, meeting world-class standards; viii. Establish the rules of play for all competitions under the jurisdiction of World Boxing; ix. Recognize only competitions that comply with these Statutes and the rules of World Boxing, and ensure that these Statutes and all World Boxing rules and regulations are observed during such competitions; x. Be the supreme authority in all matters, affairs and questions related to the sports of Olympic, adapted and electronic boxing, as well as for all their rules and regulations; xi. Promote World Boxing worldwide; xii. Consider environmental protection and promote sustainable development in the sport of boxing; xiii. Promote and participate in commercial and marketing activities (including property rights, trademarks and logos) at the global level to directly benefit the sport of boxing; xiv. Protect the independence and autonomy of World Boxing, its national federations and stakeholders, to govern and regulate the sport of boxing accordingly, including exercising the right to democratic elections, free from external influence; xv. Protect the integrity of the sport of boxing and that of its participants by playing a leading role in preventing doping, and adhering to the fight against doping and match-fixing. The Federation will rigorously enforce the rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of Competition Manipulations.
