The Alevitisches Kulturzentrum Winterthur (WAKM) association aims to promote cultural diversity and strengthen intercultural and interreligious dialogue. We see ourselves as a bridge between people of different origins, traditions, and beliefs. Our association serves to promote cultural education, preserve traditions and customs, and respect and honor various religious beliefs. The focus is on peaceful and respectful coexistence, which is promoted through joint events, educational offerings, and social projects. Our goals are: Promoting art, culture, and education; Organizing cultural events, lectures, workshops, and festivals; Exchanging between different faith communities to promote tolerance and mutual understanding; Supporting children, young people, and families in cultural and social matters; Preserving and passing on cultural and spiritual values; The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not seek profit. We do not consider our faith and culture to be divisive elements, but rather connecting ones. Therefore, we invite all people - regardless of origin, religion, or belief - to become part of our community.
