The foundation aims to provide occupational pension provision within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the benefit of the employees of the affiliated employers and their dependents and beneficiaries against the economic consequences of old age, death and disability. The affiliation of a related company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation can provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. The foundation board issues one or more regulations on pension benefits, partial liquidation, organization, management, asset investment and financing, as well as control of the foundation. It specifically defines the relationship with employers, insured persons and other beneficiaries. Regulations can be amended by the foundation board while preserving the acquired rights of the beneficiaries. The regulations and their amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided that it is the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
