To promote the constant improvement of the quality of life of people affected by Fanconi Anemia (hereinafter: FA). The association intends in particular: to promote support, assistance and information for patients and their families as well as the constant improvement of medical and health care; to intensify the dialogue and exchange between patients (including their families, relatives and/or legal representatives) and the medical-scientific community, at local, national, European and international levels; to promote medical and scientific research, directly or indirectly related to FA, in particular through the following means: participation in the financing of individual projects (directly or indirectly through other associations with the same or similar purpose, namely the therapy and care of Fanconi Anemia); organization and setup of symposia and study groups (workshops); involvement of specialized research laboratories capable of detecting potential genetic anomalies, which allow the development of effective medications and/or genetic therapies; to promote the growth of the number of hematopoietic stem cell donors; to help patients, and possibly their families, through support measures and/or economic benefits related to participation in activities organized by the Association or other ideal-purpose entities in Switzerland or abroad committed to supporting FA; to raise public awareness of the disease and its human and psychological consequences; to collect the necessary funds to achieve the above objectives; to finance, with the collected funds, or with part of them, other associations with the same or similar purpose, in particular the Deutsche Fanconi Hilfe e.V.
