The cooperative aims to achieve the following objectives through mutual self-help: the organization and representation of farmers residing in the municipality of Chur, in dealings with the public and authorities; the regulation of sales prices for agricultural products and their joint marketing; the procurement of favorable joint purchases of agricultural supplies; the acquisition and operation of agricultural machinery and facilities of general interest; the control of field mice and pests; a unified and purposeful stance on market issues, taxation, and animal disease control; the organization of alpine farming in supplement to the alpine statutes of the city of Chur; representation of individual alpine cooperatives vis-à-vis third parties; discussions on public issues and the pursuit of adequate representation in authorities and commissions; further education through lectures and courses; the management of the business of the Chur Livestock Breeding Cooperative (VZG); however, the VZG Chur remains independent.
