The association aims to promote building culture in general, as well as specifically in the city of Winterthur and the Winterthur region. For this purpose, it provides the building of the House of Building Culture to the association House of Building Culture Winterthur and its members for a fee. It concludes the necessary lease and usage contracts for this purpose. Rentals without reference to building culture or to the city or the region, which do not exhibit a reference to building culture, require the consent of the board of directors and must be in accordance with the purpose of the association. The association does not pursue its own charitable purposes, but serves the operational and infrastructural facilitation of the activities of the association House of Building Culture Winterthur. Any surplus is used for the preservation of the value of the building and for the promotion of building culture. To this end, the AG donates the surplus to the association House of Building Culture Winterthur. The association is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, management, and development of the building. It plans, organizes, and carries out necessary renovations, renovations, and conversions. It can establish branches and subsidiaries at home and abroad, participate in other companies, as well as acquire, hold, encumber, dispose of, or manage real estate and intangible property rights, to the extent that this serves the fulfillment of its purpose.
