The foundation aims to promote and financially support the following projects in Switzerland, in no particular order: a. Training of dogs as guide dogs, assistance dogs and therapy dogs. The foundation aims to finance the training of 2-3 puppies per year; b. Preservation of historic buildings of all kinds; c. Preservation of traditional Swiss culture and customs; promotion of brass band music, yodeling, alphorn playing and flag swinging; care of folk and homeland songs; encouragement to wear traditional costumes; d. Promotion of research and development in Swiss agriculture and horticulture. The development and deployment of innovative technologies that make agriculture and horticulture more efficient can be supported; e. Bridging emergency situations of Swiss citizens and promoting projects that help prevent or alleviate such situations; f. Events related to the sport of schwingen, e.g. organizing an 'Erika Roth Schwinget' or setting up an 'Erika Roth Schwingkeller' to support young schwingen athletes in the Innerschweiz region. The foundation can cooperate with and/or support other organizations. It can establish and operate other legal entities or merge with them if their purpose permits. The foundation has a non-profit character; it does not pursue commercial or self-help purposes and does not aim to make a profit. The foundation board can use the entire foundation assets, not just the income, to achieve the purpose. The foundation board is responsible for ensuring that the foundation assets are used and exhausted in accordance with the purpose within approximately 25 years of the founder's death. This is intended to avoid perpetuating the foundation and at the same time ensure that the foundation assets achieve the desired purpose substantially.
