The purpose of the foundation is to provide for the employees of the company and their dependents against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death, as well as in cases of need. The foundation makes contributions to tax-exempt employee benefit institutions of the company, as well as one-time or periodic supplementary benefits to the regulatory benefits of the insurance institution or supplementary benefits to employees of the headquarters, branches and subsidiaries in cases where regulatory benefits are insufficient. Provident benefits from this foundation can also be provided to entrepreneurs-general agents and their dependents. To achieve the foundation's purpose, the foundation can conclude insurance contracts, whereby the foundation must be the policyholder and beneficiary. The foundation can also be joined by the personnel of companies economically or financially closely related to the company, by decision of the foundation board, which must be notified to the supervisory authority, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the acquired rights and entitlements of the previous beneficiaries are not impaired. Except for contributions for employee benefits, the foundation may not be used for benefits for which the company is legally obligated. Benefits that represent compensation for work performed or have a similar character (e.g. cost-of-living, family and child allowances, bonuses, anniversary gifts) are also excluded.
