To promote worldwide, in respect of artistic and cultural traditions in all their forms, the friendly cooperation of artists, without consideration of national, ideological, social, economic, political or racial affiliations, the expression of Arts and Culture in all their aspects; to contribute to their development and ensure their defense, conservation, dissemination and promotion, and in particular to make known, enhance, disseminate, conserve and defend the work of Krikor Bédikian, in all the forms it has taken or covered. To mark its attachment to the city and canton of Fribourg, the foundation undertakes to award each year, for the first time in 2004, a study grant or a prize of an amount now fixed at CHF 3,500 to Fribourg artists, creators or institutions that have, through their activities and work, promoted the cultural radiance of the city and canton of Fribourg. It is stipulated that the proceeds of any activity of the Foundation that may have a commercial connotation will be compulsorily allocated to the pursuit of its disinterested purpose (cf. statutes for full purpose).
