The foundation aims to provide occupational pension benefits for employees with a place of work in Basel, in accordance with the employment contract of the founding company, the Pirelli Group companies in Basel, and the affiliated Swiss companies, as well as Swiss companies economically or financially closely related to the founding company. The foundation provides benefits in the event of old age, disability, illness, and accident. In the event of an employee's death, it may also provide support to the spouse and children or persons supported by the employee. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided it is the policyholder and beneficiary. The foundation participates in the mandatory occupational pension scheme within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions. It may also provide additional pension benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits.
