The Foundation aims to: 1. Preserve, defend, and promote the image and principles of Ella Maillart, taking into account the details provided by Anneliese Hollmann, holder of the moral rights and image rights; 2. Compile an inventory, conserve, store, showcase, and, if necessary, lend objects associated with the memory of Ella Maillart (books, personal effects, distinctions, souvenirs, documents) that have not been specifically deposited by her with partner institutions (Elysée Photo Library, Geneva Library, Swiss Cinematheque); 3. Oversee the management and animation of the Ella Maillart Space in Chandolin and any other site dedicated to the transmission of her heritage; 4. Collect, document, and disseminate any information related to Ella Maillart, notably through digital media (website, web communication, newsletters, conferences) and in connection with the aforementioned official depositories; 5. Support, through the awarding of prizes, the lending of objects, or other forms of contribution, institutions and initiatives pursuing objectives in harmony with the values carried by Ella Maillart (early childhood care facilities, schools, research projects, sports and cultural events); 6. Undertake any administrative, legal, or material action aimed at preserving and honoring the memory of Ella Maillart. In accordance with the purpose pursued, the Foundation carries out its activities in Valais, in Switzerland, and abroad. The Foundation does not have a profit-making purpose and does not seek profit as an objective.
