to promote the quality of life of residents in the districts of the canton of Geneva; it can: make available the land and buildings at its disposal for the benefit of social, artisanal or commercial activities, known as proximity activities, aiming to ensure the occupation of these living spaces in the districts in a respectful manner of the principles of sustainable development; promote fair and sustainable trade in the exploitation of living spaces in the districts, for the benefit of the residents of these districts or the agglomeration; grant favorable operating conditions and contribute to the financing of equipment for these activities in the districts; seek and promote the establishment of artisanal or commercial entities that prioritize cooperative or associative operating modes; promote, within the limits of its means, animation activities in the districts.
