The purpose of the foundation, a non-profit institution, is to contribute to the preservation and improvement of the cultural, social and economic well-being of the municipality of Bregaglia (GR) and its population, especially the elderly, and thus to contribute to the preservation and public use of buildings and open spaces in the municipality of Bregaglia that are worthy of protection and conservation. The primary objective is to contribute to the improvement of life, first and foremost for the elderly, but also for the rest of the population, by acquiring the property 6104, keeping the business open to the public, restructuring the premises, preserving the building and collaborating with other structures to promote social and cultural life in Castasegna. The foundation may engage in other activities in the municipal territory of Bregaglia that fulfill its purpose, such as acquiring other open spaces or buildings worthy of conservation and use in the interest of the Bregaglia population. The conditions to be respected are as follows: the restructuring and restoration must take into account the aspects related to the conservation of historical monuments; the service of the cantonal monuments of Grisons must be involved in the restructuring project at the right time; the property must be rented/leased at a market rent; the activities of the foundation (e.g. maintenance of property no. 6104) must be distinct from those of the business (e.g. management of the garni). The foundation may not bear operating and maintenance costs that are the responsibility of the business management.
