The purpose of the foundation is to provide education, training and equipment to family members and to support and assist them in old age, in case of illness and accident, as well as in situations of need and distress. In particular, the foundation aims to: a) ensure that all family members, especially the young ones, receive a good education and training, that they are financially supported for language, research and learning stays and further education abroad, and that they are helped with the financial needs related to their profession; b) provide material assistance to elderly, sick or disabled family members for accommodation, care, medical care and supply, for therapies and spa stays of all kinds, etc., and to provide financial support to family members for the economic consequences of illness or accident, to the extent that these are not covered by insurance or the public sector; c) help family members in situations of need and distress, regardless of the reasons for the need or the distress.
