The foundation promotes projects in the fields of ecology and environment, education, health and culture in the canton of Bern, in the sense of the common good and in the general interest. Its activities include the promotion of: projects dedicated to sustainable, ecologically oriented land management in mountain regions, in particular approaches to permaculture and agroforestry; creation of educational and training opportunities for individuals with health or social needs through contributions to further education, maintenance, training and qualification; awarding of corresponding scholarships to needy individuals; cultural engagement in the exchange between city and country through contributions to cultural projects and events; decentralized, citizen-oriented, ecologically regenerative forms of energy production and use. The foundation can organize and conduct courses, seminars and events within the framework of its purpose. The foundation is operationally and promotionally active. The foundation's activities are financed by the foundation's income, donations, legacies, gifts and additional endowments. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purposes. Profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose.
