The cooperative aims to cover the need for housing and workspace at affordable financial conditions in a sustainable manner, through joint self-help and responsibility. It promotes the local anchoring of the project by creating jobs in Adler Unterstammheim and commercial or office space, as well as operating the Adler restaurant. The cooperative strives to offer housing for all sections of the population (keyword: intergenerational living), particularly for older and younger people, couples, singles, people with disabilities, etc. It promotes coexistence in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. The Adler Unterstammheim cooperative is politically and religiously neutral.
