The Association aims to promote the rights of people with disabilities by uniting the voices of different organizations of people with disabilities. The Association will particularly defend the use of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (the "CRPD") and ensure that the United Nations' 2030 Agenda and other human rights and human development instruments are in line with the CRPD. Through its unique network of major international and regional organizations of people with disabilities, the Association is the best representation of people with disabilities worldwide. The Association's goal is to represent the global movement of people with disabilities by encouraging national organizations of people with disabilities to join global and regional organizations that are Full Members of the Association, as well as inviting national umbrella organizations of people with disabilities that share the Association's objectives and principles to become Associate Members of the Association at the national level. The Association's vision is to create a society that values diversity, respects equality, and enables people with disabilities to reach their full potential in order to create a better world for all.
