International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA)

The objectives of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations are as follows: 1. To promote cordial and friendly relations among its members and to supervise Muaythai-related activities worldwide. 2. To define the rules governing the organization of international championships and competitions. 3. To organize, in collaboration with national associations, IFMA events and Muaythai competitions for international events. The right to organize world championships and international events will be granted only to countries capable of hosting participants from member countries wishing to take part. 4. To ensure that all international competitions open to affiliated associations are organized and conducted in accordance with IFMA rules. 5. To ensure that no discrimination is exercised against any country or person on the grounds of race, religion, or political affiliation. 6. To promote mutual respect among affiliated national associations in their relations and the reciprocal recognition of sanctions and suspensions. 7. To ensure that the revenues and assets of the IFMA are used for the promotion of the objectives of the IFMA, in accordance with the principles of transparency and good governance. 8. To encourage and improve the skills of technical groups and officials, coaches, and trainers of Muaythai. 9. To support and maintain the objectives of the Olympic Movement. To promote and encourage all aspects of Olympism as set forth in the Olympic Charter, in particular the recognition that the practice of sport is a human right and that every individual must have the possibility to practice sport without discrimination of any kind, and that these rights and freedoms, as set forth in the Olympic Charter, must be guaranteed without discrimination of any kind, including on the grounds of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or any other status. 10. To adopt, develop, and ensure respect for the principles of integrity and social responsibility, taking into account and recognizing the provisions of the mission and role of the IOC as set forth in the Olympic Charter.
