1 The foundation pursues the following non-profit purposes: a) Supporting animal shelters throughout Switzerland, in particular through financial contributions for the care, feeding, accommodation, veterinary examinations and necessary operations of pets. Only animal shelters that do not kill pets due to age, infirmity or overcrowding and that care for pets in a selfless manner are supported; b) Improving the living conditions of homeless, unwanted or distressed pets by covering all associated expenses, including the intake and placement of pets; c) Providing species-appropriate support for pets that are difficult or impossible to place until their death; d) Supporting non-political animal welfare projects and organizations throughout Switzerland. 2 The foundation operates throughout Switzerland within the scope of its purpose. 3 The foundation does not pursue commercial purposes and does not aim to make a profit. 4 The foundation does not pursue self-help purposes. The founders, their relatives, and persons close to them have no claim to the foundation's support services. 5 The details of the benefit are governed by a foundation charter. As long as no charter exists, the foundation board decides on the allocation of foundation benefits within the scope of the foundation's purpose, exercising its due discretion. 6 The foundation board has the right to request changes to the purpose and the foundation deed from the competent supervisory authority by unanimous decision. In doing so, the requirements of Art. 85 (change of organization), Art. 86 (deviation from the original purpose) and Art. 86b of the Swiss Civil Code (non-essential changes) are taken into account. 7 The founders reserve the right to change the purpose in accordance with Art. 86a para. 1 of the Swiss Civil Code.
